Magnolia Net (Explored) - a photo on Flickriver

The network of branches of the Magnolia tree were a delightful surprise to me. Being inside the canopy, I could see an intricate structure that I had never noticed while looking at these trees from afar. The contrast of craggy shapes, almost too rustic for the grace, elegance and softness of the petals, turned out to create a delightful backdrop for the endless clusters of petals. They were very much like a net holding the masses of pink flowers.
