I see a talented unicyclist from the traveling fair.
I see a young girl who climbed a tall tree on a dare.
And an angry mother with an intense glare!
The flamenco dancer who twirls with colorful flair.
The weary accordionist sitting down on top of his wooden chair.
I see a small contortionist riding on top of a polar bear.

And, you my dear?
What do you have to declare?

Oh, I don’t mean to stare.
But the longer I look, the more I seem to care.

I see a punk rock couple with pink spiky hair.
I see a red dress on a clothesline with a long thin tear.
The lazy tabby cat in the garden who doesn’t have to go anywhere.
The courtyard fountain that sputters water throughout the air. 
The young couple who arrives on their 3rd date without a second to spare
The devout nun whose hands are perpetually clasped in prayer.
The bookseller who finds a signed Book of Disquiet (so rare!)


They agreed:

But no matter what wonders I see on the street.
Observing all of the interesting people I could meet.
I’d still rather be elbow to elbow with you, my sweet!
