Brügge historisch und romantisch - a photo on Flickriver

            Beginenhof

Der Beginenhof, offiziell der "Fürstliche Beginenhof Ten Wijngaarde", wurde im 13. Jahrhundert gegründet. Erst 1930 ist die letzte Begine von Brügge, die sich gemäß den Vorgaben ihrer Glaubensbewegung der apostolischen Armut verschrieben hatte, gestorben. Seit 1937 wird das malerische Anwesen in der Nähe des Minnewater von Benediktinerinnen bewohnt und bewirtschaftet. Trotz des klösterlichen Betriebs ist die Besichtigung des Beginenhofmuseums und des traditionellen Klostergartens täglich möglich. Der Besuch des Beginenhofs ist kostenfrei, der Eintritt ins Beginenhaus ist mit zwei Euro erschwinglich.
