            The Wartime Weekend.

Great Western Railway Modified Hall Class 4-6-0 6990 Witherslack Hall in the workshop at Loughborough. Comparison with the photo taken last week shows that all the cladding, the safety valve cover and the chimney are now fitted. The external steam pipes are still to be mounted and painting has commenced. Will it be ready for next weekend's Woodford 50th Anniversary Commemoration Gala? Touch & go.
