Germany Ohlenberg Rheinland-Pfalz 10th February 1975

            A passenger train powered by Deutsche Bundesbahn electric locomotive 141-086-9 heads south past Ohlenberg signal box and its classic semaphore signals in the Rhine Valley. Ohlenburg is between Spay & Boppard on the West Bank opposite Osterspai.

In February 1975 I spent a week at Karlsruhe University, visiting from Birmingham. I planned my return journey by car to drive along the Rhine Valley rather than just stay on the boring motorways.
