Tranquil Sunset on the Beach - a photo on Flickriver

            As the sun dropped below the horizon on the beach at Naples, Florida I captured a few final images before the light faded away.  This photo captured the tranquil mood of the evening:  waves gently coming onto the beach, pelicans sitting comfortably on the pilings out into the Gulf, wispy clouds being lit from below with colors of yellow and orange and the lone pelican silhouetted against the orange glow where the sun disappeared below the horizon. 
 The timing of this photo came together with lines leading the eyes along the water on the beach to the pilings, the pilings guiding back toward the horizon where the sun just set, clouds from the upper left of the frame drawing the view back toward the glow of the sunset and finally the lone pelican being silhouetted against the glow of the sky.
