It was the time of WW2 and the time of secret agents.

Agent 217 was on a mission to interrupt the time warp that had been located at the Scarlett Hotel. The hotel had been a hotbed for gruesome murders and suspicious deaths since it had been built in 1887. The Indian burial ground that had been destroyed during building the grounds had both enraged the natives and started a series of serious accidents, oddsome happenings and haunting-like situations all around the hotel.. People kept vanishing and turning up dead and nobody especially wanted to visit room 237.

During these horrid happenings, the guests had been entrapped in a strange situation where every night at 8pm the 4th of July Ball would begin and last the whole night. Everyone had to take part in the celebrations and nobody really questioned why the same day would be going on over and over again. The time warp had frozen hotel guests inside - you could always check in but you could never leave.

Agent 217 had a personal reason to stop the ghastly goings on at the hotel - her own brother, the caretaker of the Scarlett hotel, would be a consequential part of the gruesome happenings and her goal was to save him from the curse that had been haunting their lineage for centuries.

The Torrances had a special ability in their bloodline, but only the women were able to carry the psychic load of hearing people’s thoughts and seeing prophetic visions - the men would always end up crazy. She knew that she would be the one to change the future - and the past of her familyline.

And so she entered the hotel..
