This is a magical destination, about 40 minutes north of Mammoth Lakes.

We were there for about an hour before sunset and I took several long exposures. However, of all the shots, only one had this perfect combination of last glowing rays of sun reflecting on the rocks and the sky starting to turn magenta.

"Tufa is a variety of limestone formed when carbonate minerals precipitate out of ambient temperature water." Wikipedia.
