SPECKLED PIGEON (Columba guinea)....BACK YARD NAIROBI....(SEPT 2011).......163

            This photo of Specked pigeon was captured in the back yard of our house where we were testing the Nikon D3X camera with 200 - 400 mm F4 lens.The Speckled Pigeon have large,feathers on neck stiff,bifid.Head an underparts blue-grey.Neck brown,speckled pearl grey.Mantle and wings coverts dark maroon,the latter spotted white.Bare skin around eye red.Legs purple.Food mainly seeds and ground feeder which is seen in the photography as its looking at bird seeds we put on the ground.
