Life on the street has many dangers.

            When you have nowhere to go, no door to lock, no one to protect you. Life can go from "bad" to "terrifying" in the blink of an eye.

Even during the day in broad daylight most people are reluctant to get involved - for some members of our society there is no safety.

I think my presence prevented things getting out of hand - but both guys were still there when I eventually left, neither of them prepared to give up that spot!
