Qui pourrait effectivement avoir peur, maintenant que cet immense requin de près de 10 mètres est terrassé ? Comme pour "l'effet Miroir", autre oeuvre de l'exposition Borderline, Philippe Pasqua s'est appuyé sur l'image d'un Mégalodon, ancêtre du requin. Il a reconstitué l'animal à partir d'un fichier numérique avant de le sculpter en inox comme s'il avait une carapace en acier.
Pour dénoncer la tuerie abusive de ces poissons, l'artiste l'a ici crucifié ou pendu à une potence et exhibé comme un trophée de pêche, livré en pâture aux yeux de tous. Malgré son armure flamboyante et rutilante au soleil comme un diamant, la peur a changé de camp.............

Who could indeed be scared now that the large, almost 10 meters long shark is defeated ? As in the case of "l'effet mirroir", another piece of the exhibition, Philippe Pasqua was inspired by the image of the Megalodon, the ancestor of the shark. He used a digital file to reproduce the animal before sculpting the statue in stainless steel as if protected by a shield.
As a cry against the overfishing of these animals, the artist crucified it or hung it up, exhibited as a fishing trophy for all to see. Despite its flamboyant armor shining in the sun, fear has changed sides................
