Mississippi River Shipping - New Orleans, Louisiana

Taking off from the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport flies you right over the tail of the Mississippi River where ships from all over the world come into port to deliver goods or pick-up exports. I can count no less than nine that are either full or soon will be. Also seen on the far left side of the photo is the Mississippi River Trail, a designated bicycle and pedestrian trail that traverses the shores of the Mississippi River.
