238/R365 - Bill Beliles Furniture - Ellis Building - Hopkinsville, Kentucky

The Ellis Building located at 319 East 9th Street in Hopkinsville, Kentucky was built on the site of the old Methodist church prior to 1919. In this year, Ellis Motor Company erected this structure in a rather direct, industrial style. While the structure was altered with the false roof seen at the bottom of the photograph above and wrapping of the brick columns that separate the windows at street level, it is still included at a contributing building in the Hopkinsville Commercial Historic District that was added to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) on April 30, 1979. Three bracketed photos were taken with a handheld Nikon D7200 and combined with Photomatix Pro to create this HDR image. Additional adjustments were made in Photoshop CS6.
