En la ensenada de Barro y Niembro se encuentra uno de los más bellos conjuntos paisajísticos: en una pequeña península sobre los arenales que cubre la marea, y como un producto natural más de la ría y dársena, está Nuestra Señora de los Dolores, construida a finales del siglo XVI y situada en un pintoresco paraje al borde del mar.
El sillar refuerza las esquinas y realza la torre que se eleva a modo de proa de navío, sobre un vetusto y cuidado cementerio cuyos muros rompen las aguas de las pleamares.
Se trata de un cementerio marino en cuyas cruces se posan las gaviotas, y que en vez de oler a flores rancias huele a playa y salitre.

In the inlet of Barro and Niembro, one finds one of the most beautiful landscape sets: in a small peninsula on the sandbanks that the tide covers, and as a natural product over the estuary and marina, is Our Lady of Sorrows, built in the century XVI, and placed in a picturesque place at the edge of the sea.
The ashlar reinforces the corners and heightens the tower that rises like prow of ship, on a very old and elegant cemetery which walls break the waters of the tides. It is a question of a marine cemetery in whose crosses they settle the gulls, and that instead of smelling to flowers rancid it smells beach and saltpeter.‬
