Richard Dunn Sports Centre, Bradford

On my way into Bradford to visit the National Media Museum, I missed a turn and found myself on the inner ring road. I very nearly crashed my car when I came across the fabulous concrete circus tent that is the Richard Dunn Sports Centre.
The centre is named after a local heavyweight boxer who once fought Mohammed Ali and I can only assume that it refers to how he looked immediately after the fight.

It's across the road from the Odsall Stadium, (home of Bradford (Bulls) rugby league team) a name that until now was a distant outpost of the north, reported from by straight-talking commentators with odd accents to the midlands sports fan, listening to the radio.

It's a strange stadium in that it appears that a huge hole was dug to put it in...
