Rose-ringed parakeet (Psittacula krameri)

            The rose-ringed parakeet also known as the ring-necked parakeet, is a gregarious tropical Afro-Asian parakeet species.This species is not native to the Netherlands, but only as a aviary bird. Over the years, a number of these birds escaped or were released. They appeared to settle in Western Europe and they seem todo well in our climate.
