Summer in the Sierras - a photo on Flickriver

            This is a view of Island Lake, Fall Creek Mountain, and the always pretty Mountain Pride wildflowers in the foreground. Island Lake sits at 6875 ft. (2095.5 m) in elevation. My lovely bride and I did a 6 1/2 mile hike on Round Lake Trail a couple of weeks ago, and this is one of the 8 lakes that the trail took us by. The Sierra Nevada Mountains are my favorite place to be.
