Takachiho Gorge 高千穂峡五箇瀬川峡谷, Miyazaki, Kyūshū, Japan

Takachiho gorge is one of the well-known gorges in Japan. It has a beautiful waterfall called Manai no Taki (真名井の滝).

The access to the gorge wasn't too easy unless you drive or you take tours, but it was well worth seeing these beautiful waterfalls, the emerald colored water, and the unique rock formations. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who is visiting Kyushu area in Japan. It was not very far from Mt. Aso area either so if you rent a car you can do both!
