a flawless red lip ... - a photo on Flickriver

            This is a single exposure shot of a fashion magazine.Here, the pages produce a multiple exposure look when they are filliped in front of a camera that has an open shutter. I tried the multiple exposure idea a few different ways and settled on the page flipping since it seemed to be produce the most natural dynamic-looking shot. My intention here was to show the fleeting nature of images that everyone sees in passing every day. The images are visible momentarily on public transit, on billboards, on the internet, and here, in a magazine. I suppose this consumption of the images is subliminal in many ways and makes a commodity out of the time spent to create the images. At that point the images lose their meaning no matter how good a photo they may encapsulate. I think the focus on the lettering is OK even with the long exposure. I hope you like the result.
