Deltic arrival at Consall - a photo on Flickriver

            Another gala guest locomotive was Class 55 'Deltic' D9016 'Gordon Highlander'. At the time this locomotive was based at Peak Rail in Matlock. Subsequently it has changed owners three times and moved to Barrow Hill, the East Lancashire Railway and finally the Great Central. It was purchased by Jeremy Hosking in November 2017 and is now based at the Crewe Diesel depot of Locomotive Services Ltd where it is under overhaul. Here it is arriving at Consall station with a service from Kingsley & Froghall.
