Kexby Old Bridge on River Derwent. - a photo on Flickriver

            Wednesday Walk (And a visit to the Yorkshire Air Museum)

A Grade ll listed structure on the River Derwent in North Yorkshire.
Built in 1650 and used as the main bridge until mid 1970s.
The bridge also contains some bits of an older structure from 1420 ish.
It replaced the ferry belonging to the Lord of Kexby.

The river is navigable from Stamford to Barmby (on the marsh)
Approx 35k with only 2 locks, ideal for beginner boaters. It also connects to the Pocklington Canal at East Cottingwith.
