Welcome to Our Home - a photo on Flickriver

            This has to be one of the most photogenic birds I have ever come across.  I was at the nature park preparing to take some shots of trees and landscapes, and heard this bird and her mate squawking up in the trees where they had built a nest.  Then, one of the birds swooped down closer to the water a few meters in front of me, and started preening.  Meanwhile, I was fumbling to get my camera out of my bag  & get set up, but the bird preened 5-10 minutes so no problem losing the moment.  Then every so often the bird would stop and pose for a few shots.  I had to thank the bird for trusting me and being friendly!
