Batalha Monastery-Portugal - a photo on Flickriver

            This is one of the most beautiful monasteries in Europe. The cathedral is marvelous, the cloister is stuning. It has such a nice atmosphere that we have visited it twice. One of the miracles is the unfinished chapel, without a rooftop with an amazing view to the sky. It is one of the best examples of late Gothic architecture in Portugal, also affected with the Manueline style.
