The Bergisel Ski Jump is a real architectural masterpiece, designed by the Iraqi-British world-class architect Zaha Hadid (1950 - 2016), who succeeded in combining - 250 m above the town - the ski jump as athletic venue and the restaurant with panoramic terrace in a unique way and barrier-free. For this reason, Zaha Hadid was awarded with the Austrian State Architecture Prize in 2002.

Since its reopening in 2001, the Bergisel Ski Jump (Sprungschanze Bergisel) has become one of the main attractions of Innsbruck. Up to a height of 40 metres, the Bergisel Sky Restaurant offers space for up to 180 persons, and provides a breathtaking view on the town and the peaks of the Nordkette mountain chain. In the evenings, you can rent it exclusively for festivities and weddings.

Also the Olympic ski jump from 1964, 1976 and 2012 with the stadion is accessible. The sporty way to reach it is to climb the 455 steps on foot. Otherwise, the inclined elevator starts at the entrance and takes you up to the tower in only 2 minutes where the tower lift leads you to the restaurant and the panoramic terrace. The view is simply breathtaking!
