09.26.23. La Chapelle St Bruno - Le Lac de Vallon(France)

            C'est en 1651 que la Chapelle actuelle a été construite sur les ruines de l'ancienne église de la Chartreuse de Ripaille-Vallon. Les parties les plus anciennes d'architecture romane (le choeur en
cul-de-four avec sa voûte en berceau et son arc double en blocs de tuf ainsi que les arc en pierres taillées de la sacristie) 
sont mises en valeur lors de sa restauration.

The current chapel was built in 1651 on the ruins of the former church of the Chartreuse de Ripaille-Vallon. The oldest parts of the Romanesque architecture (the barrel-vaulted
with its barrel vault and tufa block double arch, as well as the carved stone arches of the sacristy) are being showcased during its restoration.
