Yarapa - a photo on Flickriver

Yarapa

            Río Yarapa en la Comunidad de Santo Domingo, Amazonía Peruana. Reserva Pacaya Samiria, Loreto, Perú.
El vehículo tradicional de los ríos de la selva peruana es el Peque Peque, el cual es una canoa motorizada.
Cabe destacar que por el sonido que realiza su motor, le han puesto este nombre. Si repiten seguido "peque-peque-peque-peque..." pues es el sonido de la embarcación.
Ideal para llegar a cualquier albergue o comunidades indígenas de los ríos y lagos de la Amazonía , los Peque Peques son canoas con motor estacionario que se han convertido en el medio de transporte masivo (carga y pasajeros).
