CHESTNUT-BREASTED CORONET Boissonneaua matthewsii. This Chestnut-breasted Coronet has its wings raised right after landing which is a typical behavior for this species. This behavior was recorded near Papallacta on the eastern slope of the Andes in northern Ecuador at 11:43 AM on June 26, 2014.

Chestnut-breasted Coronets belong to the hummingbird family (Trochilidae) and live in the Andes in southeastern Colombia, in Ecuador, and in eastern Perú.
