Bitumens and Berkley - a photo on Flickriver

            37891 in petroleum sub-sector livery powers away from Frome past Berkley with empty bitumen tanks from the terminal next to Frome station. 

My gamble that the weather would hold long enough to shoot the train arriving at Frome and then departing just about paid out, with the early morning blue skies having been replaced by rain clouds that will be delivering their payload before too long. 

The loaded bitumen tanks originated at Coryton refinery on the Thames Estuary, running to Frome as the 6V06, the 0308 from Ripple Lane. 

The return was running as 6A84,the 1033 from Frome to Westbury from where the train would collect any empty gas oil tanks from the traction depot at Westbury before returning to Ripple Lane.
