Woodland warmth

The sun got to high to shoot anymore on the lake so we packed up and headed back to the car, as were were walking back I spotted that the sun was at the perfect height breaking through the trees and illuminating the woodland floor with this beautiful warm light, as I turned around looking back towards the Lake this was the scene I was greeted with, I couldn't get the camera gear back out quick enough to capture this scene, I knew what I had in mind and this is the exact shot I wanted, super wide, tiny aperture, nice long shadows for a lead in...

It's fair to say I was quite excited with the light in this little area, so much so I hadn't really noticed I was knealt down in the damp grotty mud while wearing shorts, if anything is worth getting dirty knees for though it has to be morning scenes like this, I've 2 images from here on this and can't work out which is my favourite, so I'm a happy camper, albeit one with filthy knees....
