            Haylands Bridge is situated immediately below the confluence of the River Ure and Gayle Beck.  These two water courses often collect flood water from the nearby hills, and quickly overflow.  Here, the River Ure is fining down after bursting it's banks into the flood plain, and over the road to the left of the photo
