            This is a shelf in my room as a teenager when still living at home it is either from early 90´s or mid since I moved out before ending my teens... it is mostly book and the mid section is found fossils, stones and family memorabilia and other stuff I collected...

The books are mainly in three languages, the most common is Swedish with English trailing close by, then there are quite a few Danish language books too...

I had a surprisingly large collection of religious books for an agnostic, The Quran, some bibles, and some direct translations from greek and hebrew as well as those books that is only included in the the catholic bible...

The Quran I bought through my muslim friends in school, it cost me quite a lot actually, since it was new, most of the other books had been bought cheaply at second hand shops and flea markets or been gifted to me...

The Jehovas Witness material I got for free from my maternal Grand parents who were part religion during their lives...

then there is a lot of books about the world, geography and different countries...

I had a very special love for maps and kept until quite recently a collection of those...

...also there are some anthologies in Danish and Swedish, the languages readily available to me as a teen since most time was spent in these nordic countries... but you could also if you were lucky find english languages book in Sweden and Denmark since most Swedes and Danes especially the younger generations speak well enough english to read such books...

There might be one of two books in german too, since I actually studied that language for three years in school but hardly learnt any other words than the numbers, Manchmal and viellicht and some other phrases, since I was sitting all the way in the back of the class and my Bench-mate from a Persian guy usually slept through class and I was usually drawing...

 ...until Rita our lovely optimistic native german teacher would ask even us uninterested outcasts a question or two just to include us, that is why I learned the two words since those were always useful if I needed to pretend to know what she was talking about, since sometimes and maybe can be used to answer almost any question either...

...at that time I didn´t know that I once should be living in a German speaking country (Austria) even though their German is not the German-german they teach in school... especially food items have completely different names in Astro-German... still it would be handy to know some basic german before moving there...

Even though I listened to quite a lot of german music, I never took the time to listen to what they were actually singing and at that time there was not pages on the internet you could get english translations of foreign language music...

Just a small teeny snapshot from my past life...
