Donkse Laagten, Bleskensgraaf - a photo on Flickriver

View over the Donkse Laagten, an extensive Nature 2000 area along the Groote of Achterwaterschap canal in the Dutch Alblasserwaard region, province of South Holland. In the middle and right of the image, the white flowering cotton grass plants stand out in the field. The other grasses have partly turned yellow due to the prolonged drought.

Uitzicht over de Donkse Laagten, een uitgestrekt Natura 2000-gebied langs de Groote of Achterwaterschap vaart in de Alblasserwaard, beheerd door Staatsbosbeheer. Midden en rechts in het beeld vallen de wit bloeiende Veenpluis planten op in het veld. De grassen zijn deels vergeeld door de langdurig aanhoudende droogte.
