Trekking in the Canyon - a photo on Flickriver

            The last of the snow melted and the canyon trail was too enticing to pass up. Without doubt, Smith Rock has become my favorite hiking and photo haunt. Early signs of spring can be seen on the green hillsides. 

If you squint at the trail across the river, immediately below the tall red spire, you'll see a tiny black speck. That speck is a hiker whose presence gives scale the enormity of the rocks.
