Paris - Galerie Vero Dodat - a photo on Flickriver

            Opened in 1826, this gallery is the ancestor of the modern malls. 
It was very busy in the 19th century, while people traveling by stagecoach would wait for their departure shopping here. They were protected from the rain and cold in winter.  Today, it is mostly occupied by designers and fashion and much more quiet than in the past.
