The sky burning - a photo on Flickriver

The sky burning

Light pillars starting to grow as numerous tiny ice crystals are in the air brought by a random cloud already taken away by fast and cold wind. You can also see how the brightest stars are glowing through the suspended ice crystals . Stable cold weather gifted us 3 nights in a row with light pillars suddenly forming up and then dissapearing. The outside temperature was about -14C.
