Six hundredth autumn of the temple - a photo on Flickriver

This church was built on the promontory created by the river Vltava in the 14th century and was reconstructed from 1407 to 1439.
In the end of 19th century the onion-shaped Baroque tower was replaced by an eight sided pseudogothic tower (1893-1894).
The interior and the inventory of the church are neo-gothic. Now this church is a view point of the town like the Castle Complex.

Шестисотая осень храма

В начале 14 века на крутом берегу Влтавы чешский феодал Петр 1 из Рожмберка заложил небольшую приходскую церковь. В дальнейшем на месте церкви был воздвигнут готический костел, реконструированный в 15 веке. А башня костёла приобрела свой нынешний вид - восьмигранной формы в неоготическом стиле в конце 19 века. Наряду с замком костел является основным символом города.
