Corfu Old Town

            The reason I took this shot was all the different shapes of buildings, they just amazed me. Also the maze of cobbled streets in the town are just beautiful.

Corfu means ‘twin peaks’ – the town is bookended by two hills, on which two massive fortresses were built to repel the aggression of five successive Ottoman sieges.

Corfu Town is the capital of Corfu (Kerkyra in Greek) one of the most beautiful and elegant towns in Greece. It is the principal port of the island and one of the largest and most populated (30,000 inhabitants) towns of the Ionian Islands.
