While sheltering from an unexpected rain shower I saw Ben sitting outside of a bar with his phone and some speakers, enjoying some tunes and a free charging point. I was taken by his strong features and especially the combination of his well groomed beard and the dreadlocks.

Ben, from Adelaide in Australia, was on his travels to visit friends and family. He was happy to pose for a few shots and even showed me some portraits of him on his phone, where he had dressed and posed at a 'primal party' as a native warrior. Definitely a natural in front of the lens, I positioned Ben within the sheltered area to make best use of the natural light available.

This shot from the series, where Ben was posing so naturally and beautifully, is my absolute favourite for catching such a natural smile.

It was a genuine please to meet and chat with Ben for a short while and I hope that he loves the shots as much as I do. Enjoy full screen by pressing 'L' or clicking on the image.
