An alternative portrait of Kevin, re-enacting as an US 82nd Airborne parachute infantry trooper, at the Daks over Normandy stop-over at Prestwick International Airport, Scotland.

The D-Day Squadron of DC-3 Dakotas and C-47 Skytrain aircraft had flown from the USA via Canada, Greenland and Iceland before a refuelling stop at Prestwick. They are on their way to the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy this year.

After a few portrait shots Kevin offered to get his rifle from the nearby, era appropriate, truck. I loved this shot of him posing with his M1 Carbine rifle and decided to give it a light vintage treatment in processing with some added grain and a very light sepia tone. Enjoy!
