Lately I have been Chasing Sunsets; it is not as easy as it sounds. And this sunset was no exception; the sky looked as if nothing spectacular was going to happen, Just your run of the mill cloudy overcast night sky. Then, suddenly the winds picked up and the clouds started breaking apart revealing this most awesome sunset. We had to rush to find an area where we could capture the full expanse of the sky and when we finally got there the sun was sinking behind a thick bank of clouds.

both these shots are of the same sky taken minutes apart. this one taken as the last vestiges of light were pouring out from behind the thickening cloud cover. the light was changing and the lihgt meter was having a hard time keeping up with the changes.
